Beginning life in 2007 as Napalm Riot, RiotCore was developed by Razorshift as a next-generation solution to the then-problem of sharing content online at a single destination. Designed as a social network for gamers, Riotcore aimed to fix the environment of disparate discussion sites, image hosting platforms and blogs, and bring all of these features together in a single destination.
The Napalm Platform
Such a vision needed some solid software to run on, and to that end we set out to develop our own modular CMS, Napalm Platform. Napalm Platform had many features that could be adapted for different contexts and implementations, and RiotCore was the showpiece example of what could be done with it. Napalm Platform supported relationship management, blogging, image uploading and galleries, discussion forums, user groups, and a relational database engine for creating interactive databases of content for any purpose.
